SPOP ( speckled POZ protein )
SPOP, speckled POZ protein, is an E3 adapter protein. In our experiment, we proved that the direct conjunction between vhhGFP4 and SPOP can lead to the degradation of GFP-IRF4 protein.
Figure1.The function of anti-GFP BioPROTAC
Just as Figure1 shows, the SPOP act as the backbone of the BioPROTAC, the vhhGFP can be changed into any other pretein binding region, and thus it can also degrade other proteins. The function of SPOP relies on the subunit that binds to the ubiquitin and transform it to the target protein. Once the target protein is become ubiquitination, it will soon be degraded by the proteasomes.
